Description
Squamish Municipal Airport – Don Patrick Field, is situated equidistance between Vancouver and Whistler on the Sea-to-Sky Highway where the magnificent Coast Mountains meet the mouth of Howe Sound. It serves as an ideal base for adventurous pilots who love back-country flying.
Originally established in the 1960s primarily to support local aviation and recreational flying activities, Squamish Municipal grew steadily over time to serve as a major hub for general aviation on Canada’s West coast.
Squamish Municipal is a wonderfully alive airport with Four aviation companies there, Glacier Air which focuses on flight training, rides, private charters, Sea To Sky Air which focuses on scenic flights and seaplane tours, Black Tusk Helicopter which offers back-country drops, hut access, sightseeing tours, and finally, Blackcomb Helicopters who offer tours, utilities and heli-skiing.

Known Bugs
- Transparent and translucent glass panes can appear very dark when subject to particle effects such as rain, snow and fog. This is a known bug that Asobo/Microsoft are aware of and will hopefully fix in the near future.
- When multiple sceneries are installed in the same area a bug showing the underlying stock photogrammetry can occur. This is a known bug which was introduced in SU11, Asobo/Microsoft are aware of it and will hopefully fixed in the near future.
