Kittyhawk Aerodrome for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 (ICAO: EGKF)

Description

Welcome to Kittyhawk Aerodrome; a well-established unlicensed airfield located on the edge of the picturesque South Downs National Park in Sussex. Originally founded as a private strip in 1995, it has grown to accommodate a wide range of General Aviation (GA) visitors, including helicopters, gyrocopters, flex-wings, and the occasional twin-engine and turboprop aircraft. With three grass runways, the longest exceeding 800 meters, the airfield welcomes both domestic and international flights. Its summer fly-ins have become a popular attraction for both locals and visiting aviation enthusiasts.

Thriving airfields provide significant economic, employment, transport, recreational, flight training, STEM, community, biodiversity, and emergency service benefits to both the aviation sector and the surrounding area. Kittyhawk Aerodrome is committed to supporting and promoting these benefits while maintaining harmony with its beautiful natural surroundings.

Kittyhawk has been faithfully recreated by Burning Blue Design working with Kittyhawk Aerodrome management and undertaking on-site visits, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy. It features:

Kittyhawk Aerodrome, an immersive gem for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024! This well-established unlicensed airfield, located on the edge of the stunning South Downs National Park in Sussex. The level of detail is simply astounding, and the add-on perfectly captures the spirit of this thriving airfield.

Burning Blue Design has gone above and beyond, including detailed hangar interiors with working animated doors, dynamic animated spectators, and a completely custom animated windsock. The attention to detail extends to the custom terraforming with accurate runway profiles, as well as high-resolution color-corrected ground textures that really bring the airfield to life. The inclusion of dynamic weather compatibility and full night lighting makes the experience even more immersive.

Overall, Kittyhawk Aerodrome is a must-have for aviation enthusiasts who want to experience a beautifully recreated airfield with meticulous attention to detail. Whether you’re flying in or out, the scenery and realism are second to none. Another must have by Burning Blue Designs.
